Joy Bauer, MS, RDN, CDN, is one of the nation’s most trusted health authorities and the powerhouse creator behind beJOYLY. She’s the longtime nutrition and healthy lifestyle expert for NBC’s TODAY show and the #1 New York Times bestselling author of 14 books. Her work spans television, print, digital media, and live events—always with the goal of making healthy living simple, joyful, and accessible for everyone.

Joy is also a monthly columnist for Woman’s World and Savory magazine, sharing inspiring nutrition advice with millions of readers nationwide. She spent more than a decade as the official nutritionist for the New York City Ballet, and her website, JoyBauer.com, is a go-to destination for thousands of feel-good recipes and practical strategies that make nutritious living easy and delicious.

Earlier in her career, Joy served as Director of Nutrition and Fitness for the Department of Pediatric Cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center and worked as a clinical dietitian for the hospital’s neurosurgical team. One of her proudest accomplishments was creating "Heart Smart Kids", a health program for underserved children in Harlem. She also taught Anatomy & Physiology and Sports Nutrition at NYU’s School of Continuing Education while building what became the largest private nutrition center in the country.

Joy is deeply committed to sharing science-backed advice to help people feel their best. Her impact has been widely recognized, earning top honors including the National Media Excellence Award from both the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the American Society for Nutrition Science. She was recently inducted into the Taste Hall of Fame and is an eight-time nominee for the prestigious Taste Awards—often called the Oscars of food, fashion, and lifestyle media.
